An Interview with Aaron De La Cruz

Tuesday, May 24, 2011

Aaron De La CruzI don’t know what it is about California, but for some reason I keep going back to its artists for interviews. There is something indescribable about the Golden State that keeps drawing me back to it. The options are seemingly limitless; the many diverse styles paired with its unique history and artists who seem to reinvent the culture combine to make California one of thee spots for me, as far as art is concerned. This time in my “California series” I was fortunate enough to interview Aaron De La Cruz- the man responsible for some of the most brilliant “line designs” to cover walls in California and overseas, as well- and get him to talk about his goals/dreams as an artist, the recent Mano Y Mano show in Hong Kong, Luma bikes, what he feels is his particular style, and more. ADC is making noise through his art and is, deservedly so, establishing himself as a must-follow artist. I’m proud to add Aaron’s name to the list of talented writers and artists who have been featured on Senses Lost (those from California and abroad).
