This is a preview of a new Showtime TV series called, United States of Tara. The show is produced by Steven Spielberg. It stars Toni Collette (Little Miss Sunshine) and John Corbett (Sex and the City).

The show’s plot is about a seemingly ordinary suburban housewife and mother that has dissociative identity disorder. Which is formally known as multiple personality disorder. The housewife and mother, known as Tara can become 3 totally different characters.

One of the characters she becomes is known as “T”. T is a provocative teenager. The next is known as “Buck”. Buck is a beer drinking Vietnam veteran who is prone to violence and easily provoked. The third and final character she can become is known as “Alice”. Alice is a 1950’s stepford wife who bakes pies.

The 12 episode series premiers Sunday, January 18th at 10 PM ET/PT.
