Glacier Graffiti Vandal

28 year old German backpacker, Jan Philip Scharbert was caught on camera by tourists painting on rocks leading up to and the ice face at Franz Josef Glacier. The glacier was easily cleaned up but Scharbert was ordered to clean up the rest of the graffiti on the rocks. Police said they were satisfied with his repair job, meaning he escaped a wilful damage charge and left Franz Josef “in one piece”. Read the rest of the article here.
