Koma Interview

 

1) Why the name Koma?

Koma: When I was younger I got all paranoid that everyone knew who I was so I changed my name. Coma seemed like a short enough, bad ass sounding word, and i figured the “K” would make it more original.

2) What got you started into graffiti?

Koma: A friend of mine had an interest in it and I picked up on it from him. I went out and bought a magnum 44 from staples, and it snowballed from there.

3) What’s your favorite freight train to paint? Why?

Koma: I flip flop a lot. Some times its hoppers, sometimes its certain boxcars. of course I NEVER see reefers so I’d love to do more of those. out of all the shit I’ve painted, I have not nearly enough of those. But my favorite at the moment are boxcars, anything besides the usual cp and cn stuff. Id suck a fat one to do one of those new cold trains though.

4) Being out in a yard, you see some crazy things. What’s your most memorable moment in a yard?

Koma: Man there’s been a pile of shit. i forget half of it. That one time where We saw the naked guy just walking down the tracks, but i think Bruse told you about that. Completely naked that’s all i got to say. There’s been a lot of little things here and there. Montreal involved a lot of drinking 40’s and then me pulling out my earings and getting ready to fight people in the yard thinking it was people i had beef with. it never was. Ive had workers scream in my face between lines, and then promptly chase me out. Cesu and I have almost been killed a few times. careful climbing those hoppers. I’m sure there’s something memorable I’m forgetting, but I’m to slow to remember. Lets just say for a chubby kid, I’ve done my share or running from cops.

5) One of the funniest freights out there, would have to be the large end to end Koma penis. How did you come up with that idea?

Cum up! hahah. Well first of all i would have to say that any of my friends would agree that I’m the gayest straight kids they know. Plus dicks are funny, plus 10 cans of paint equals best E2E ever. i don’t even think there has been reflectors or anything put on it yet, and its been years. I’m just immature i guess. one thing is for sure, when you see that, you remember who i am! That’s marketing bitch!

6) What’s your favorite alcoholic beverage?

Koma: Beer is good. Girly cooler things are just fucking delicious.

7) Any last words for the Senses Lost readers?

Koma:  Thanks for reading this. Maybe you’ll see my paintings, and be like “hey I read an interview with that guy!”. Maybe you’ll just end up seeing my dick. The hopper I mean. Any way take it easy kids. Grow up. graffiti is lame.
