Digital Abstracts is putting together a project called “Creative Cards” where they invited artists and illustrators to design a playing card in their own style. The Creative Cards then be come a deck of 54 unique cards that will be printed in limited copies.

Creative Cards features work from well-known artists such as Timba Smiths, Sara Blake, Joshua Davis, Anton Repponen and David Delin, among many other amazing artists.

The cards will be available in April but are available to pre-order an individual card for $3 US or an entire deck for $54 US here.

Wacom has created a brand new device called Inkling that converts hand-drawn sketches into digital vector images automatically.

The device consists of two parts: a stylus with a pressure-sensitive ballpoint and a receiver that stores and converts the sketches.

To start using Inkling, users affix the receiver to a piece of paper, turn it on and start drawing with the stylus, ensuring the line of sight between pen and receiver isn’t broken.

The device even lets users create layers, which can then be transferred to a computer for editing on Photoshop, Illustrator or Autodesk. Files can also be saved in JPG, BMP, TIFF, PNG, SVG and PDF formats.

Inkling will be available to purchase for $199.00 sometime in mid September. Check out Wacom for more info.
