The Graffiti Exchange

The Exchange was started in 2005, with six graffiti artists from different areas of the United States. The idea of the project is for each of the artists to draw a sketch or outline for one of the other artists. Once the artist receives the sketch they execute a painting in their city, using the sketch as inspiration. The group is now made up of 12 members from North America and Europe. The participants of The Exchange pair off into six groups of two, trading names and personal styles through sketches. This step is repeated until everyone in the group has traded outlines at least once.

The Exchange has recently created a blog to help showcase the entire project. Check out the blog here: www.thegraffitiexchange.blogspot.com
