Wake Jam is on at the Forks in Winnipeg this weekend. It starts Friday August 17th and runs through till Sunday August 19th. Saturday morning the competition will start with the Jr Men and Jr Women, then the main events for the Pro Women and Pro men.

This is either an amazing story of a 4 year old girl that can paint amazing paintings with no help at all or it is a marketing skam done by the girls parents to make money. She started out creating these amazing paintings and people were paying thousands of dollars for them. Next thing you know people are questioning weather or not she did them herself or not. This is a video kind of Mat Gleason, the publisher of coagula art journal. Mat discusses artwork pieces from different artists. One of the artists he talks about is Shepard Fairey. He does a bit of a slam of the Obey artwork. Basically talking about why the Obey pieces aren’t artwork.

Here’s another commercial being made by Sony for there Bravia Televisions. This is the third big stunt Sony has done to promote the vibrant colors in their televisions. They have placed play doh bunnies different places in New York. The fist two commercials were brilliant. The first being the bouncy ball drop on the streets of San Fransisco and then the second being the building exploding with colorful paint. Bombing Science posted this on their site. Very educational video that is worth watching. I think everyone should know their rights when dealing with police. It can really protect you from getting caught doing things wrong. There are lots of things that I think people don’t know, like police don’t have any right to look through a vehicle or backpack unless they have probable cause. Check out the video here.
